Bonnie Spider Plant Care

Bonnie Spider Plant

Originally from tropical South Africa, this curly-leafed variety of spider plant is beloved for its air-purifying powers and easy-going attitude. It’s adaptable, fast-growing, and sends out charming baby “spiderettes” when happy — a great first plant or a quirky addition to any collection.

Your plant is already potted and self-watering — no repotting or soil changes needed.

Light

Thrives in bright, indirect light, but also tolerant of low light. Avoid direct sun — it can bleach or scorch the curly leaves. Perfect for shelves, countertops, or near a bright window (but not *in* it).

Watering

Your pot is self-watering — simply check the water reservoir once a month and refill if empty. No top watering needed.

Temperature

Prefers indoor temperatures between 16–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts and direct heat sources.

Humidity

Adaptable to a range of humidity levels.

Bonus: it helps purify the air!

Growth

This curly-leaved variety stays compact but will send out baby “spiderettes” on long stems when happy — you can leave them or trim as desired.

Pruning Tip

Snip off any brown leaf tips for a cleaner look. You can also trim spiderettes if you don’t want the plant to trail.

Pet Safety

Safe and non-toxic for pets and children — one of the best pet-friendly plants around!
